Once you enter an Open House in your Dashboard, it can take some time for the open house to appear on public websites. MLSs require open houses to be manually entered into the MLS. From the time that you create an open house on HomeLister.com, it takes up to 1 business day for an agent to post the open house in the MLS.

Once entered in the MLS, some MLSs will still take several hours to post it, even on the MLS website and agent sheets. From there, it will take anywhere from 2 to 48 hours for that open house to appear on Zillow, Realtor.com and other websites. These websites process open house updates much slower than other types of listing changes.

At HomeLister, we recommend open houses be scheduled 48 hours in advance because of the time it takes for the various websites to update your listing. If you would like to schedule an open house with less notice, we will make every effort to get it posted. We cannot guarantee it will be posted in time because public websites update at various rates which is out of our control.
